Weekend Engineering makes the finest freestanding ballet barres available. Our barre is a lighter, more elegant version of a classic favorite. All welded, light-weight, steel construction means no assembly is necessary.

Both the single and the versatile double barre come with a durable powder coat finish and white rubber feet to prevent slipping and floor damage. Since they are made in San Francisco we offer free delivery in the Bay Area.

Our barres are currently in use at San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Presidio Middle School, City Ballet School and Stanford University Dance Department. The New Zealand School of Dance in Wellington, New Zealand recently became our first international customer.

Our interest in the arts and especially dance has led us to develop what we call the perfect barre. With a family of dancers to critique and refine the design the final product was truly a labor of love.

These ballet barres are a one-time purchase with little or no maintenance required over their lifetime. We recommend the double barres for studio with young students because of their extra durability. Anyone who has danced in studios with funky old barres that rattle and wobble will appreciate our strong yet elegant design.

I am the owner of a dance studio and ballet school in San Francisco, and I absolutely love the ballet barres that you made for San Francisco City Ballet School and was wondering if you would be interested in manufacturing more.
In my opinion you are one of the few that make barres the way they should be made.

The dancers and students of The Stanford Dance Division love your barres. The elegant design and great paint combined with their strength and portability make them perfectly useful in our classes. They fit right in with our world class beautiful studio. We've ordered from you twice and would again next time we need barres. They are perfect.

I have only good things to say about the barres, and I use them for a variety of things...after-school ballet class, as part of a game on obstacles (going over, under, around, and through), alignment workshops, etc. They're sturdy enough to take all the crazy things pre-teens will try on them, yet elegant-looking and much longer than any other portable.
